November 20.
My recent correspondence with Dr. Michael Bouchard. Dr. Bouchard believes that DV should be an issue of public discussion. See my 12/02/09 article, "The Discourse of Domestic Violence."

This month's TRO. Ugh! Why was this date important for me? Well... I have, for your perusal, 1) The ex-parte TRO requested by Ms. Mahtab Trueman, 2) My Motion in Opposition, and 3) My Affidavit. My children's mother is capable of anger that appears explosively in the public domain. I know my children are hurting. Now, I know that Ms. Trueman's child is hurting.

The date is important for me. The link today is to the Findings of Fact and Conclusions of Law (FOF/COL) filed in the appeal on Louis Jamila's case. See my 11/12/09 penumbrook article "Jamila's Fight; to what end?" for an overview.

Domestic Violence is rooted in the family; the foundation of democracy. Where family education can improve family life and significantly reduce domestic violence, Senators Murray, D-WA, Brown, D-OH, and Dodd, D-CT have introduced legislation that will take us back to the 18th Century. This Domestic Violence Victim's Economic Security Bill live working copy (10/07/09) shows how a good intention can lead to anti-father, anti-family and anti-U.S. legislative proposal. Let's hope this proposal dies quickly.

State sponsored child abduction is not something that goes on only behind the closed doors of the Family Court in Hawaii. Check out my May 5, 2009 article, "State Sponsored Interstate Child Abduction Revealed," on my blog. If you have some time and want to see the unvarnished truth for yourself, click on this link to read the rambling allegations against Ms. Carol Lee, Executive Director of the Hawaii State Coalition Against Domestic Violence (HSCADV)
Apologies about the link. I received an email from Ms. Trueman's lawyer notifying me that my ex had included Ms. Trueman's actual current address in her rambling email. Give me a couple of days while I get a chance to redact the offending information. Thanks for your patience!
February 25.
In trying to tell her story about being a victim of domestic violence, there are too many clues to ignore that paint the picture in its true colors. My ex speaks to Christine Quemuel of the University of Hawaii Manoa Womens Center. http://www.soc.hawaii.edu/uhtoday/fall2008/KimYama/DV.html. Now I find out, my Mom was trying to help her heal wounds long ago. Thanks Mom. None of us could have known. See my article of February 25 on Penumbrook's Weblog.
February 24.
Just a reminder that this is my timeline. I just found out about this, and other depressing, anti-family, anti-child, issues tonight. HB615 and 622 would change Hawaii's legislative definition of "harassment" (HRS711-1106) to include online activities. My ex would add language that would make a Google search illegal. My ex is Dara Carlin (aka's available upon request).

Aah! The month is not over yet.
She has carried through with her threat to beef up her legal attack with two Washington, D.C. lawyers. I have my reasons to believe that they are just looking for a vacation in Hawaii; at my expense. Click here DV LEAP.

Dara gives testimony at a February 3, 2009, House Judiciary Committee Meeting in the Hawaii Representatives Office Building. She writes:
*Subject:* HB615 and HB622 to be heard tomorrow, 02/03 at 2:00pm
*Importance:* High
Hey everyone ~
Tomorrow (Tuesday, February 3rd) the House Judiciary Committee is going
to hear two bills at 2:00pm relating to stalking and harassment through
electronic means (email, internet, cell phones, etc.) Please PLEASE
take a moment to send in your testimony in STRONG SUPPORT of these two
measures: HB615 and HB622. I'll be going there to testify in-person.
For those of you who don't know, my last application for a TRO was
denied on 12/31/08 because Judge Murakami said the statutes did not
support my petition (the law as it's written does not sufficiently cover
online stalking and electronic harassment). Murakami DID try for me
though and recommended that I go to the 4th floor to file under
defamation but my attorney said it'd be too much of a long shot. :(
BUT this is a chance to correct that - not only for me - but for every
victim-survivor whose ex is too smart with the computers/electronics out
there.
She could not shut down my web site at a Hearing for Temporary Restraining Order on 12/31/08. Now, she's trying to change the law.
She also got published on KOHN2 here.
I can't believe how angry she is. All I want is to see my kids.
